Infoportwine.com is an online magazine in English and Dutch. We bring news and information about Port Wine. We supply news every first weekend of the month. We focus mainly on the end product Port Wine and the Port Wine tourism.

Infoportwine is a private initiative of Elly and Herman Gerdingh, a couple from Deventer, The Netherlands, and is an independent site. If you have information, questions or corrections, please let us know, if possible with acknowledgement of sources. 

The motive for making this site is:

• we like Port,

• we are interested in Port,

• we would like to see and read all that is published about Port,

• in this way we hope to create a platform for the posting of all relevant information.

The site contains, besides the News page, the News archives and a Links page, a File with 6 articles: 
In "What’s Port?" we give a short description. 
In "To store or not to store?" we also mention the difference in approaches for professionals and private persons. 
In "To serve, to drink and to combine" we give a start to enjoy optimally.  
In "Types" we try to bring order in the tangle of indications and names. 
In "Library" we review some available brochures and books. 
In "Round trip" we especially give general information to plan a journey. The personal travel experiences are mostly from 2006. 
In "Wijncompetities algemeen" we try to present some general information.
